If one wanted to compare a range of similar diaphragms to look at their own intrinsic non-horn-related, small signal properties, wouldn't a plane-wave tube be the best method?
Anybody know how to size a PWT for small-format Altecs? Or where to learn?

How would you couple a small driver to a large horn ? Consider the PWT as the horn.

Thank you, Don!
That one's not among what I already have, have to get out the VISA. Looks like a good one for some snow days, and I'm not in any hurry for that.
I'll update when I get it grokked.
